Graduated with a Master degree in Humanitarian Management at Paris XII University in 2005, Amal ABOU EL GHAYT has been in charge during 10 years of coordinating humanitarian and development programs for both organizations Secours Populaire Français and Secours Islamique France. She conducted field visits in Asia, Middle East and North Africa as Desk Manager and directed humanitarian actions during crises (Gaza Strip, Lebanon, Pakistan…) as well as development programs like child protection in West Bank or in Morocco. Amal pays a particular attention to linking emergency, rehabilitation and development, but also to natural disasters preparedness.
Amal joined the Advocacy team of Secours Islamique France in March 2016. She’s now in charge of representing the organisation in different platforms (SDG and Humanitarian Commission of Coordination SUD, Water French Partnership, Child Group of CHD, VOICE…) and to hold advocacy statements during international summits and events (World Humanitarian Summit, COP 21 and 22, Summit on Migration, World Water Forum…)
